Yi Zeng
Trade Specialist, Trade Development, Asia, Saskatchewan Trade and Development Partnership

Yi is a Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) at STEP, focusing on the Asia market. He was born and raised in Guilin, a city in the South of China. He studied his undergraduate program in investment in China. With ten years of experience in banking and human resource management in China, Yi moved to Saskatchewan in 2004 to further pursue his education. Two years later, he attained his Masters degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Regina. In October 2009, Yi joined STEP as a Trade Specialist, promoting Saskatchewan’s products, technology, and service to China. Prior to this, he spent three years with the Government of Saskatchewan, serving as a Business Immigration Officer under the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program. 

William (Xuewei) Wang
MBA, M.Sc., PMP, Director of China Unit, Intergovernmental Affairs

William possesses a detailed understanding of the Chinese economy and its links with Saskatchewan’s key sectors. William has over 20 years of business development and investment attraction experience and has taken part in numerous senior level trade missions to China. William is in charge of Investment Attraction from China and Government Affairs between Saskatchewan and China, as well as Saskatchewan’s role in the Western Canada Trade & Investment Office in Shanghai. Since immigrating to Canada in 1998, William has worked with different Saskatchewan organizations including Saskatchewan Industry and Resources, the City of Regina, the Saskatchewan Assessment Management Agency, and Enterprise Saskatchewan. Prior to immigrating to Saskatchewan, William worked at the Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec)’s Tianjin Oil Company for eight years. During that time, he served in the Oil Deposit, the Human Resources Department, the Business Development Department, and the Research Department. He was also the youngest Deputy Director in the company.

Ken has a diverse commercial law practice with many years of experience in international transactions, immigration, business law, banking and finance law, real estate law, in addition to matters related specifically to agricultural, forestry and Aboriginal law. Ken also acts as a business mentor and business planner/advisor to many organizations in Canada and Internationally.  Ken’s many leadership roles in business organizations in Saskatchewan reflect his commitment to the creation of wealth in Saskatchewan through healthy economic growth and prosperity of our province.
