Event Description:

Your Chamber. Your Voice.

Join us on Thursday November 8th for the inaugural Chamber SUMMIT.

The Chamber represents the voice of business. We advocate on behalf of our members, ensuring that their issues are raised and heard at the local, provincial and federal levels. The purpose of the Chamber SUMMIT is to provide an annual forum for our members to convene and raise the most pressing issues facing their businesses today. The SUMMIT will bring together representatives from across our diverse business community and generate strategic discussions on items that will form the basis of the Chamber’s Advocacy platform.
This event is free to members. Space is limited.
In order to make this event flexible for members, we have designed the day in a way that allows participants to pick and choose which events they would like to attend. The agenda will include the following options.

SUMMIT LUNCHEON

The Future of Work in the Age of Disruption
11:45AM – 1:00PM
Valerie Chort, Vice President Corporate Citizenship for RBC and Executive Director of the RBC Foundation, will join us to discuss the future of work in the age of disruption.

Canada is shifting from a jobs economy to a skills economy.

Over the next decade, four million Canadian youth will be entering the workforce and will need a foundation of skills that sets them up for many different jobs and roles rather than a single career path. So how can businesses prepare for this shift and ensure they can attract, engage and retain the next generation of talent? Please join us for a discussion with Ms. Chort as she discusses key findings from a report recently published by RBC entitled Humans Wanted and find out what you need to know about the coming skills revolution and the future of work.
